It’s time for this game to find a life beyond the 32X. Knuckles Chaotix has never been a part of a Sega compilation or gotten its own standalone port. I don’t think anyone would complain about that technicality. Of course, Sonic isn’t actually in it, which may be a problem for a compilation called Sonic Origins. It can be a bit clunky, but it’s still fun and plays a lot like the other 2D Sonic games. You control two characters at a time, and they’re linked together with a sort of magic chain that you can use to bend and slingshot your way through levels. It’s great that we’re getting Sonic CD, but it’s a shame that Sega is leaving out the franchise’s 32X installment. I keep wishing that Sega will find a way to finally give this oddity a release on consoles. Oh, and you control these characters with trackballs. It features three player co-op, with one person controlling Sonic while the others helm Mighty the Armadillo or Ray the Flying Squirrel. It’s an arcade title from 1993 that never left Japan. SegaSonic the Hedgehog is a Sonic game that I’ve been dying to try forever. I like its somewhat grungy aesthetic, and it’s also the only Sonic game I can remember to include characters introduced in the Saturday morning Sonic cartoon and the Archie Comics series, like Princess Sally Acorn. It’s also not close to being one of the best video game pinball experiences (this is no Demon’s Crush or Kirby’s Pinball).īut there is a charm to Sonic Spinball. No, it’s not as good as the core Genesis Sonic games. Sonic Spinball is one of the franchise’s first spinoffs, which alone makes it interesting enough for inclusion in Sonic Origins. Honestly, I’d love to see Sega create a giant Master System collection for modern consoles, but even just a sampling of the Blue Blur’s 8-bit adventures would have been nice for Sonic Origins. Now, you may have played this version of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 on your Game Gear, but the Master System version features a wider resolution. So when Sonic became a hit, Sega developed 8-bit takes on the franchise for the older machine. never had a Master System, the Genesis’s 8-bit predecessor, but the machine was quite popular in Europe and Brazil. Sega should reach out to Burton and give this improved version of Sonic 3D Blast an official release. The original game’s lead programmer, Jon Burton, actually fixed a lot of the original game’s issues in an unofficial director’s cut that you can download as a ROM. It also has one of the console’s best soundtracks. While the controls can be a bit slippery, and the nonlinear objectives can require some annoying backtracking, this still feels like a classic Sonic experience. People are quick to lump it in with the bad Sonic games, but this 1996 isometric Genesis title is alright with me. Name: Sonic The Hedgehog Spinball (Europe) Download: Sonic The Hedgehog Spinball (Europe). Download counts are reset as a result, sorry 4 New shade of paint, made the site more mobile-friendly. Poor Sonic 3D Blast has an unfair reputation. ROM downloads for free, all the classics News.

Once again I turned to the unofficial list on Wabbajack, and let it take care of downloading, configuring and installing the 606 mods the guide uses. I still wasn't going to do the work myself. Obviously there's a swathe of graphical enhancements, but it also features mods that touch nearly every aspect of the game's systems. Rather than picking mods that outright replace existing systems, it focuses instead on improving and overhauling. The Phoenix Flavour is an expertly written guide-clear, easy to follow, and with a careful aim to mostly preserve the vanilla experience. I returned to a fresh install, and tried again, this time with something a little more familiar. I needed a list that was still essentially Skyrim. But it's been many years since I last played, and I was quite looking forward to the comforting blanket of nostalgia. This is a mod list designed for those bored of Skyrim, who want to break it into something weird and deadly. But already I knew I was out of my depth. Things kept happening, and I rarely understood why.Īnd sure, I could have fought through the confusion. And, thanks to an extensive series of combat and difficulty tweaks, every fight was a brutal battle for survival. Things kept happening, and I rarely understood why. Suddenly, I was freezing to death in Windhelm, penniless and without the resources to craft warmer armour. "It'll be an adventure!" I declared as I decided to jump in completely blind. It's not just that the thought of installing hundreds of mods made me tired, I also didn't really fancy reading and remembering which mods were being installed. Within minutes of playing, though, I realised I'd made a mistake-one that, to be clear, was entirely of my own making. New quests! New systems! New locations! New armour! Werebears! It sounded like a definitive round-up of the modding community's most audacious creations, which instantly piqued my interest. And to that, Lexy's list adds even more stuff, all curated to support what Legacy of the Dragonborn does. The mod itself sounds like an impressive piece of work, billing itself as an expansion-sized addition that adds new items, new quests and, most importantly, a display hall for showing off artifacts and a new explorer's guild. The first list I picked was based on Lexy's Legacy of the Dragonborn-a guide built around the Legacy of the Dragonborn mod. Nevertheless, it's a lot easier to configure a handful of mods than to install hundreds. Even if it doesn't, you've got to manually configure the mods in-game. There are still some steps you need to manually perform, especially if the guide you've picked recommends an ENB wrapper. When you wake up, you have hundreds of Skyrim mods ready to go. If you're going to do this, you should start from the beginning-see what the community has made since the last time you looked. But, you realise, you're a different person now. Maybe now's the time to finally play it, you think. You're between games, and, browsing through your Steam list, you remember all the hours you spent modding Skyrim all that time ago. A couple of hours later you're distracted by something else-perhaps some other RPG you left half-finished before you started this project. This is it! You're playing modded Skyrim! You run LOOT in lieu of taking the time to learn how load order works, and hope that it proves an effective substitute for knowing what you're doing. You download them, after a cursory check into whether there'll be any conflicts. You ignore most of that research, sort Nexus Mods by most downloaded, and pick whatever isn't some creepy, inexplicably popular Lydia mod. There's a kind of separate game that exists above Skyrim that doesn't really involve interacting with Skyrim at all. GameFi has crowdfunded gaming projects including: This platform operates on a “first come, first served” basis, with the winner earning a spot in the IGO. IGO slot prices for DeathRoad, for example, were $100 and $40. The slot value in each pool is different. GameFi provides members with a variety of Pools to choose from. In its ecosystem, GameFi has created projects such as Yield Guilds, Aggregator, Marketplace, and Accelerator. GameFi has so far launched 13 game projects on blockchain networks such as Binance Smart Chain, Ethereum, Solana, and Polygon. It was founded by a Vietnamese team who were also responsible for the success of the Red Kite Launchpad. GameFi is a dedicated IGO launchpad with a wealth of resources to help games succeed. The tier structure is intended to award members based on their contributions, so those who have staked more will be paid more, offering a fair manner for the community to profit from this milestone. Legendary members will have access to the NFT treasury as well as a private chat with the game’s founding staff. They get everything from the game’s early access, as well as NFT drops, gear, and goods, as well as two new incentives. Although these members no longer have a pool weight, they are guaranteed a 700+ private allocation in the IGO. Staking 100,000 tokens is required to get access to this tier, but the benefits are legendary. This is a guaranteed allocation, and members get early access to the game in addition to all the benefits of the previous tiers. The pool weight is increased to a staggering 400 as a reward for this. Members also get first access to the game’s gear and merchandise, as well as early access to NFT drops.ĥ0,000 tokens are required to gain access to the Epic tier. Their pool weight will also be increased to 145. Instead of being placed in a lottery, members who stake 20,000 tokens will receive a guaranteed allocation. In addition to this, these members will have first access to the game’s clothing and products. Members in this tier will still be entered into a lottery for token allocation, but their pool weight will be boosted to 65, giving them a better chance of receiving a token allocation. Members who have staked 5,000 tokens get access to this tier. During the pre-sale, common members will receive a pool weight of 30. Members at this tier level will be entered into a lottery to receive tokens from the IGO. There will be five separate categories in the tier system:Īnyone who has staked at least 2,000 UniX tokens gets access to this tier. This will enable members to get access to some of the finest blockchain games at the best price.ĭepending on how many UniX tokens the community has invested, they will have varying levels of access to the launchpad. The UniX IGO Launchpad will give members of their community early access to some of the most recent AAA games before they’re released to the general public. UniX Gaming has partnered with major players in the gaming industry including: The community has over 200,000 members, 20 eSports teams and 27 million stream viewers, which positions them to become a leading IGO launchpad platform upon launch. The platform is currently working on the launch of their IGO Launchpad platform. UniX Gaming is a gaming community and platform that aims to become the Play-to-Earn industry’s largest gaming guild. In this article, we’ll take a look at 10 of the best IGO Launchpads. In some situations, the tokens and NFTs obtained via IGOs can be traded on decentralized exchanges and NFT marketplaces outside of the game environment. Participants can get early access to the game’s tokens or NFTs depending on the initiative. Investing through launchpads typically necessitates participants locking the platform’s native token for a set length of time. Launchpad platforms are commonly used to coordinate IGOs. However, the main difference between IGOs and ICOs is that IGO participants typically receive early access to in-game assets and NFTs. The Initial Game Offering (IGO) is essentially a way for blockchain gaming companies to crowdfund their projects. Initial Game Offering (IGO) launchpads are the newest trend in the crypto world, and the premise is similar to that of an Initial Coin Offering (ICO). The error was on my part from not being acclimated to the trigger travel to reset. However, I did experience trigger freeze on two occasions, but this was at no fault of the gun itself. During my bout of testing with this firearm, I did not experience any malfunctions related to the operation or mechanics of the handgun. Reliability – Not much to mention here, as Glock firearms have one of the best reputations for working whenever you pull the trigger. Let’s zero in on the Baby Glock a bit more… Durability and reliability matter most, especially when considering a concealed carry weapon. It’s like an 88 Ford Ranger that gets the job done every time. It’s not a Lambo, or for you guys with mullets it’s not a Camaro. It’s natural that shortened grips on handguns like these are going to create an issue however, I do believe consistent training can eliminate a good portion of fumbling that comes with manipulating a small weapon.Īll this considered, the Glock 26 will fulfill its purpose right out of the box without any Gucci go fast stuff on it and is absolutely worth considering. I noticed it the most while shooting, and some of it was on the draw. As with nearly all sub-compacts designed for concealment, the absence of that full-length grip can be an issue. For that, I give the Glock 26 higher marks on comfort when concealed.ĭespite its ability to conceal well, my greatest talking point against it is the short grip. Sitting down and especially while sitting inside of a car, the longer barrel and slide of the Glock 19 pressed into my thigh and created a noticeable point of pressure compared to the Glock 26. It printed on my t-shirt just a little bit, but there wasn’t much difference in walking or standing. To compare, I holstered a Glock 19 in the same holster and commenced normal daily activities. While wearing a normal-sized t-shirt, there was very little visible external printing. I personally like an appendix carry, and from that position, it was comfortable and accessible. Its sleek and compact design really makes the difference in carrying concealed. In doing so, I discovered things I like, things I don’t like, and some things that are unique to the Baby Glock. I also ran a tremendous amount of dry fire reps. To get a feel for the Glock 26, I tested it through a litany of drills that will reveal nearly all aspects of a handgun. Just something to keep in mind if you’re debating between these models for your next buy. The Baby Glock is a specific tool, designed for a specific purpose, and that’s perfectly fine. Surely, the 26 can be utilized as an open/operational carry, but I do not understand why anybody would, considering the tactical advantages and extra doses of freedom you get with the 19 and 17. The 19 on the other hand can and is used for both. Whereas the 17 was created to be more or less, an open carry or operational carry. Now, this handgun was designed to be a double-stacked concealed carry weapon. However, this article will be focused on the Gen 4, while briefly annotating minor comparisons of the Gen 5 model for context. This I believe is a great feature and selling point for the Glock 26.Ĭurrently, the latest model of the Glock 26, is the Glock 26 Gen 5, released in 2018. To top it off, the Glock 19 mag, Glock 17 mag, and Glock’s 34 round mag are all receivable in the Glock 26. Moreover, since the Glock 19 influenced its design, the Baby Glock has a very familiar feel to Glock 19 and 17 owners. Compared to the single stack options of a Glock 43, LC9, or the M&P Shield, this is a great advantage. The Baby Glock (a nickname given to it by the manufacturer) on the other hand, was intentionally designed to provide a concealed carry option that provides a smaller and lighter double-stacked gun, which affords a relatively high ammo capacity. Over the years, Glock has innovated and refined this series of handguns multiple times and delineated these changes through a naming convention that sequentially orders each generation. All these models are striker-fired, 9mm handguns, with the major differences between them being essentially size, length, and ammo capacity. A bigger brother to all of these is the Glock 34. Both of which (Glock 19 & 17) are staple choices for many Law Enforcement agencies. Glock brought the Glock 26 to the table in 1995 and designed it as the kid brother of the Glock 19 and Glock 17. Good for creating ambient chordal washes from simple material. +bubbler uses 8 channels of grains which can give you an extremely dense cloud of sound. As pitch shift can be distributed to multiple simultaneous grains, chords can be played with the on screen buttons, or by sending MIDI to the plugin. bubbler +bubbler is a granular delay in which grains are pulled from the delay line with randomized start time, delay time, reversal, panning and pitch shift values. The time and depth controls can radically alter the quality of the pitch shifting, from subtle to comical. Pitch can be adjusted in equal tempered semitones or just ratios with additional cents and octave controls. pitchdelay +pitchdelay, is based on the same codebase as +delay, but the controls are oriented toward pitch shifting, giving you classic rotating head pitch shifting. Both the delay time and the LFO modulator can be synced to multiples and divisions of the host clock. +delay gives you classic delay effects, with a wide ranging filter section to help emulate vintage delays, an LFO time modulator with triangle, sine, ramp, square and random waveforms, as well as freeze mode, dual-head mode and feedback inversion. Includes: +delay, +pitchdelay, +bubbler, +flipper. The saturating feedback also allows them to be great drone and noise generators. Pitch shifting is achieved with a dual head crossfading delay (ala Eltro Tempophon/Dennis Gabor/Pierre Schaeffer phonogene) and is decidedly retro. At any time the current spectrum can be used to create an Array for later use in SAO mode where the Spectraphon oscillates at all times, with the spectrum at the Odd and Even harmonic outputs being drawn from those stored Arrays.X64 X86 VST/AU/VST3 | WiN MAC | 44 MB SoundHack Delay Bundle is a group of four plugins derived from the same basic delay algorithm: a hermite interpolated delay line with variable modulation, and a feedback loop with dc blocking and saturation. In SAM the Spectraphon can be sequenced and frequency modulated like any VCO. In SAM, instead of oscillating at all times like an analog VCO, sound at the Spectraphon’s input is used to modulate the amplitude of a set of harmonics. The Spectraphon has two nearly identical sides, A and B, which oscillate in one of two ways: Spectral Amplitude Modulation (SAM), or Spectral Array Oscillation (SAO). This hardware, engineered by Jeff Snyder and Tony Rolando, provides more I/O at higher resolutions, and a lower noise floor than typically found in digital modules, allowing us to unleash Tom Erbe’s DSP code to a previously unattainable degree. The Spectraphon is the first module to be built by Make Noise on its new digital hardware platform. It is inspired by classic electronic musical instruments of the past, including spectral processors, additive synthesis, vocoders, and resonators especially the Buchla 296 and Touché, but it takes a physical form more resembling the classic analog dual complex oscillator in the lineage of the Buchla 259 and the Make Noise DPO. It uses real-time spectral analysis and resynthesis to create new sounds from those that already exist. The Make Noise/soundhack Spectraphon is a dual Spectral Oscillator coded by Tom Erbe of soundhack. Digital Adapters & Miscellaneous Cables. So for instance, increasing the Technology Skill will increase your ability to perform Alchemy-related crafts and how well they succeed. And by increasing the amount of points in a certain Skill Set, it becomes easier to craft items in that category. Unlocking certain Skills will also grant you the option to craft your own items, such as healing items and even weapons that cannot be obtained in stores. (Having a bird do all my shopping is super cool, for sure!) I wasn’t sure which Skills to give to my party because of how many there were! Thankfully, there is a sort’ve “guide” in the Status menu that showcases which Skills characters are more talented in, which can act like a base guide if you’re like me and can’t decide what Skills should go where. And boy are there a lot of Skills you can learn, so much so that it got to the point of being a bit overwhelming for me. By obtaining Special Points throughout your adventures (via leveling up or by other means, like tapping on strange statues), you can apply them to Skills - such as cooking, mining, writing, combat ability improvements and much, much more.Įach Skill comes with its own special bonuses that can improve different aspects of the game, like increasing the sell price on your items, raising your Attack Power or overall hit-points, and even improving the potency of healing items, making Skills definitely worth investing in as soon as they become available. The leveling system was one of the first things that impressed me it’s surprisingly large and allows for plenty of party customization. The level of depth and attention to detail this game has surprised me I had grown up on Super Nintendo games being rather simplistic in their designs and expected this one to be no different, but First Departure R has a complex system that compares to that of games released today, making me wonder just how mind-blowing this title was back in the 90s. The artstyle, the story, the characters everything works together seamlessly to offer a unique single-player experience that simultaneously leaves players plenty of opportunities to explore new areas, engage in conversations with party members, craft your own items, and customize your party’s skills and abilities. And, like icing on the cake, it’s all wrapped up in a neat little nostalgic JRPG experience that reminded me of my childhood days with Secret of Mana and Final Fantasy 7. This game combines my two personal loves of fantasy and sci-fi, and pairs it with is an interesting and layered story that got me emotionally invested right from the get-go. The very idea of playing a protagonist from a purely fantasy-esque setting and watching as they are tossed into the realm of science-fiction piqued my interest and kept me glued to the screen. Star Ocean First Departure R captured my full attention almost immediately after starting the game. So when I finally sat myself down and played First Departure R, I had no idea what was waiting for me beyond just a simple JRPG in space. I had never managed to play any of the Star Ocean titles over the years, but being a fan of space-adventure stories, the series would repeatedly catch my attention when a trailer would pop up or a new game would release. Determined to stop it and save his people from this terrible plague, Roddick joins the space-faring Earth Federation and begins his grand quest for a cure that will lead him on an adventure unlike anything he’s ever seen. Following the story of a townsguard named Roddick he and his close friends are faced with an epidemic that is turning everyone they know and love to stone. Released initially as simply Star Ocean for the Super Famicom back in July of 1996, and released again as an enhanced remake on PlayStation Portable in 2008 Star Ocean First Departure R is a grand adventure of galactic proportions that is filled with drama, mystery, action, comedy and romance.
